Understanding Arrange in Excel Page Layout

In Excel, the Arrange group under the Page Layout tab allows users to control how objects are displayed and arranged within a worksheet. These options are helpful for ensuring your content is organized and visually appealing.

Arrange Tools

1. Bring to Front

The Bring to Front option moves an object to the top of the stack, placing it in front of any other objects on the worksheet.

How to use "Bring to Front"? Select the object and go to "Arrange" > "Bring to Front". This brings the selected object in front of others.

2. Send to Back

The Send to Back option moves an object to the back of the stack, behind all other objects.

How to use "Send to Back"? Select the object and go to "Arrange" > "Send to Back". This sends the object behind all other elements.

3. Selection Pane

The Selection Pane helps you manage objects on the worksheet. It displays a list of all objects so you can easily select, hide, or rename them.

How to use "Selection Pane"? Go to "Arrange" > "Selection Pane" to see and manage all objects in your worksheet.

4. Align

The Align option allows you to position multiple objects relative to each other. This includes options to align them to the top, middle, bottom, or distribute them evenly.

How to use "Align"? Select multiple objects, go to "Arrange" > "Align" and choose your desired alignment option.

5. Group

The Group option lets you group multiple objects together so they can be moved and resized as one entity.

How to use "Group"? Select multiple objects, go to "Arrange" > "Group" to combine them into a single unit.

6. Rotate

The Rotate option enables you to rotate objects to any angle.

How to use "Rotate"? Select the object, go to "Arrange" > "Rotate" and choose the desired rotation option.
